Sometimes when I am in a bad mood i think back to the time my step mom tried to explain Greek mythology to me, in a Christian context. She told me that the heroes mentioned in the stories, which according to mythology were the children of the gods, did exist but were actually the children of the angels when they would visit Earth on God’s mission or some shit. I, naturally, found it totally ridiculous and assumed she was joking so laughed, thinking she told the story to be amusing. She continued to tell me she read the story in, what she considered, a credible source. Then I left the room before my IQ dropped from her presence. Now, I thank her for giving me such a good way to improve my mood, albeit unintentionally.
